[MEGATHREAD] The Ultimate Resource List For Freelancers - Save Time, Make More Money. What is working for you?

This is a list of high-impact resources for freelancers, that has been battle-tested by someone who spent the last 10 years operating as a highly-paid consultant for tech startups.Running a successful and profitable business takes a whole new meaning when you’re a one-person team. As a freelancer, your prime brain cycles should be allocated towards activities that have the highest ROI potential - this is nothing new.If like me, you’re constantly looking for new and better ways to streamline tedious and time-consuming processes, this list might be what you’ve been looking for.Freelancer Tools That I’m Loving Right Now:Collective - https://ift.tt/3iJe3Zf handles all my company formation, taxes, accounting, compliance, etc. No joke, added 10 years to my lifespan.Copy.ai - https://www.copy.ai/The only tool you need to create and optimize marketing copy. Having fun with the whole AI thing.Phamtombuster - https://ift.tt/3eRH8AI swiss army knife of my growth stack. Automation is the name of the game.Airtable - https://ift.tt/3eTRBLT to say that I was late to the party on this one. (Hard facepalm)Superhuman - https://ift.tt/3iGNJ1Q my email game super productive.Embed.so - https://embed.so/Super simple tool that boosted my onsite conversions.Umso - https://ift.tt/3kYZljt I need a landing page up and running pronto.Cool Growth Hack That Is Working Right Now:Closing clients with goofy celebrity humour - 99% SuccessDue to the nature of my services and industry, my CAC tends to be pretty high. My target clients are busy startup founders/ceo’s, usually post series A.When closing a big contract at this stage many things are happening at the same time, attention spans are short, and convos can quickly go stale.Whenever a key lead that meets all the criteria goes silent on me, I pull out my newfound secret weapon (pew pew madafakas). It’s quite simple actually. I just go on Cameo and pay between $50 - $100 to a celebrity (someone I trust my lead will know) and I have them do or say something ridiculous.Trust me, nothing beats being serenaded “What Is Love (Baby Don't Hurt Me)” by an Arnold Schwarzenegger impersonator ;)So far this always gets a funny response, adds levity to the situation, and gets things back on track. What tools and processes are you hyped on right now? via /r/Entrepreneur https://ift.tt/3kV06tO

Gamestonk Terminal: 100% python based terminal

Hey all,Monthly update on the state of the best -and only one- Free Open-Source Terminal: Gamestonk Terminal. Repository: https://ift.tt/3kVQOhs last month, some of the features that have been added are:Insider Screener based on https://ift.tt/3y4FSS8 overview from https://ift.tt/3eRstoY neat ETF screener to filter for ETFs that meet a certain criteria, like: price, assets held, net asset valuation, expense ratio, PE Ratio, dividend yield, and more.An initial version of a supply-chain analysis, that based on a company shows not only the suppliers but also customers.Literally 40 new crypto commands from a single contributor (author of https://ift.tt/2Tkxxdq)! It's actually insane the amount of new functionalities this crypto menu already has...We incorporated also an Options screener from https://ift.tt/3gV2COs. The author (https://ift.tt/3rzWcrx) has been extremely keen with incorporating his API.For more terminal updates, you can follow our twitter account https://twitter.com/gamestonkt or check the #new-features channel on our discord. Some of the next steps:Review and merge this Pull Request #562. The reason why we are excited about this one, is that this one contains data from Sentiment Investor!!! Yes, you read it right! This adds another data provider to our list of partnerships: QuiverQuant and FinBrain. We want to improve our unique feature of automatic report generation to help the community benefiting from real good DD. I personally benefit massively from the DD everyone puts here, and feel like there should be a tool to host all this information. And the way we automate it will make it much easier for content creators to add their notes and share their DD with everyone.E.g. we'll be working with u/Appropriate_Elk_3827 to simplify the work he has to share this with everyone, see one of his posts that contains multiple functionalities of the terminal: https://ift.tt/3eVolo9 have been having regular weekly calls with contributors to agree on the structure of the data that will be used for our sick GUI. A sneak peak,https://ift.tt/3eW1zfM you are unsure about the terminal, let me tell you why I spend 99% of my spare time developing it:The terminal is timeless. The terminal is fully open-source, which means that it won't die. It also means that there's 100% transparency on everything we do. You can even see the very first commit of the project, and how fast we've grown since then. The terminal is 100% free. There isn't a single command that requires money from the user. It also means equality between every user, i.e. all users are premium in our view.Unlimited upside. With the amount of data we are gathering, the possibilities of what we can do are unlimited. Even this week I was reached out by some DS guys where they want to improve our Residual Analysis menu to add explanations of what does that mean to people less familiar with this mathematical terms.Driven by the community. Most of the features I mentioned above came from users on discord messaging us with "what about a supply-chain analysis like bloomberg terminal" or "look this openinsider website looks legit, we could do something nice with it".Amazing community.I can't stress this enough. Some of the people we're working with on this, are extremely smart and hard-working people. Personally, I'm learning a ton while having a lot of fun.The opportunity to make a difference.Definitely the most rewarding for me. Last year when COVID happened, I had no clue what a SPAC was, and had never invested in anything. Today I have the chance to make an impact in the financial world. You know when people say "To the people". The community behind this project are actually that same people. We don't come from Wall St, we all have 9-5 jobs and are trying to level the financial world, 1 commit at a time.Everyone can give their contribution on this project, I welcome every single one of you to join our discord. Even if you are not a developer, requesting features, finding bugs, is just as important.PS: Also u/half_dane has been kind enough to review the codebase, to reassure all non-technical people that we are legit. See here: https://ift.tt/3rwmCus we are weak. Together we are strong. via /r/Python https://ift.tt/3eUovw1

[Advice] How to maintain your habits over long periods. My experience after 6 years of practice

Hi there,Getting results over time is all about consistency.Whether it's to stay fit, develop a business, improve in art, consistency over a long period of time will make the difference. For some, it's easy to get started, but after the first boost of motivation, good habits are gone. For others, staying with it for a while is feasible. But to succeed, to have lasting results, it's more and more recommended to continue over a decade. Some habits are meant to become a system. Ideally, they are there for life. Eating well, moving every day, breathing exercises, prospecting for a salesperson, writing for a blogger...So the question is how to keep going in the face of unforeseen events and fatigue.I started a series of new habits around physical and moral health six years ago. This gives me more than 1800 days of practice. Here's what I've learned in the process.Even when a habit is ingrained, when it's relatively easy to do. At some point, you may feel moral or physical fatigue. As soon as you feel these first signals, start a simple change. A minor adjustment in a routine will be like a breath of fresh air.For example, I do the 7 minutes every day. It's a sequence of physical exercises—12 sets of 30 seconds each. After more than six years of daily practice, I have felt the signs of boredom several times. Here is my secret to get past these difficulties.Start with the classic series proposedMove on to the other series proposed in the application.Create my own series.Modify my series according to my interests. Focus on Karate, focus on learning to surf, etc.Modify my series with my environment. Currently, I am on holiday. My flat overlooks the beach. There is an outdoor gym dedicated to bodyweight training. So I turned my 7 minutes into a short jog to the outdoor gym. I do a set of exercises, then run to the beach, swim a bit, and run back. It's over 7 minutes, but it's so much fun. These changes, which I apply to all my routines, give me the novelty to continue. I see them as innovations in daily life.I write down all my ideas in Evernote. I don't apply them as soon as I find them. I continue a series as long as I don't feel bored. Most of my habits are systems that I hope will stay with me throughout my life. So I'm not in a hurry. I only implement changes when I feel the first signs of wear and tear.My habits have very positive effects on my personal and professional life. My ability to innovate, to change is an essential part of my recipe. After more than 1800 days of daily practice, I can only encourage you to try this method. On your marks, get set, fire, go...Start your new habits and run with them.Mr. OTG via /r/getdisciplined https://ift.tt/3eP9RWL
