I asked chatGPT how to perform transcendental meditation

Having heard Rick Rubin on Bulletproof Radio talk about transcendental meditation (TM), and not knowing exactly what it means, I asked chatGPT:

Describe the steps to perform transcendental meditation

Answer: Transcendental meditation (TM) is a specific form of meditation that involves the use of a mantra, or word or phrase, to help the practitioner reach a state of deep relaxation and rest. Here are the steps for practicing TM:

Find a quiet place where you can sit comfortably and undisturbed for about 15-20 minutes.

Sit with your back straight and your eyes closed. You can use a chair, cushion, or mat.

Take a few deep breaths to relax and calm your mind.

Choose a mantra that resonates with you. This could be a word, phrase, or sound that has personal meaning to you. The mantra is not meant to have any specific meaning, but rather to serve as a focus for your attention.

Begin repeating the mantra to yourself, silently in your mind. If you get distracted by other thoughts, gently bring your focus back to the mantra.

Continue repeating the mantra for about 15-20 minutes. It is important to try to stay relaxed and not force anything. Just let the mantra do the work.

When the meditation is finished, slowly open your eyes and take a moment to adjust to your surroundings before getting up and going about your day.

I'm not particulary satisfied with the answer, but it looks like the basic steps are there, yet it did not fully explain why it's called trancendental.

"Valea Cascadelor" weekly flea market in Bucharest, Romania

How much does a ticket to enter the Valea Cascadelor flea market cost?

The entrance to the bazaar as a visitor costs only 3 lei the access ticket and you have enough bargains to choose fom in the flea market where there are many poor, bitter but well-organized people.

The prices charged for traders differ from those for visitors, but we will cover this aspect a little later.

One would think that the flea market is going so badly that it costs another entrance ticket to get out of the bazaar to the car if you forgot something about the car? But so it is in the Vitan flea market and it seems so that this is the practice in Bucharest where any entry or re-entry in the flea markets is paid.

When can you go to the flea market Valea Cascadelor and when does the bazaar open?

Tomorrow is the tirg in the Valea Cascadelor open? it is perhaps the most common question asked to which the community responds as it knows better.

The official opening hours are:

THURSDAY 05:30–13:30

SATURDAY 06:00–14:00

SUNDAY 06:00–14:00

061327 Bucharest, Sector 6

So until latest 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. But in general we can consider a schedule for Thursday, Saturday and Sunday 6-13. Sometimes the Valea Cascadelor is not open as it happened on May 1st 4 years ago when the flea market was closed.

When do more people come to the flea market?

The safest is Saturday or Sunday, there are most sellers but also visitors interested in buying valuable old items.

What means of transport do the Valea Cascadelor reach the flea market?

4 years ago, trolleybuses were running at the TR.8,25,35 bazaar, station V,Cascadelor.

Today you can get to the flea market by bus: 136, 221, tram: 8, 25, 35 or metro: Peace, Precision

Conditions for visiting the Valea Cascadelor flea market in the pandemic

During the period of the health crisis the flea market was closed due to the covid situation? The sellers had no chance to get a stall for sale, only after the alert period that relaxed the conditions of the gatherings. People said that if the flea market the Valea Cascadelor did not close, half of Bucharest would have become infected. Others believed that it was better to stay open and increase our immune system through natural immunization.

Either way it was you really had to have a mask on your face! Otherwise you could charge a fine of all beauty. No green pass certificate was required to enter the Valea Cascadelor flea market. Only if the Romanian population was more vaccinated, there would be no restrictions as it was in France where there were no restrictions for flea markets. If it was about the mask it had to be worn, otherwise there were no other restrictions.

What you can sell/buy at the flea market "Valea Cascadelor"

Authentic folk costumes are sold! All sorts of junk are sold, new things are also found at this flea market. But are car mats found? Mats are also found! New car mats less often but sh, you may find. You can't really find branded car mats, only in vitan flea market they have something like this, and yes, there are also all kinds of car accessories if you are lucky.

Are Work overalls to be found at the flea market? Yes, new or used. Can you also sell clothes at this flea market? Clothes are sold but the price at the stalls varies. They also sell cheap clothes from 15 lei.

Does anyone know if they also have pieces of old sewing machines? I saw some old sewing machines recently a year ago. It is possible to find typewriters, but being a flea market most sellers come up with different merchandise every day of the flea market.

Weather matters at the flea market in the Valea Cascadelor

In the winter, does any activity happen when it's very cold outside? Who knows, poor people also sell when it snows! Poor and rich, all come to the flea market. Only if it rains is not pleasant at the flea market, when dripping, both sellers and buyers are at quarter than on good days. In general regardless of the weather for sure there is someone there but given the weather conditions can there be more or fewer?

Conditions for sale in the flea market Valea Cascadelor

A few years ago you only had to pay 3 Lei and could also sell and now that you put something on the floor, something for sale, it takes 8 RON extra and now how much is the price on the "stall"?

How much does it cost to rent a stall and how do you proceed to take a space to sell at the flea market? A circulated price would be 150 lei per month / place of seller and almost all stalls are rented under contract.

At what time do you have to arrive at the earliest in the morning to catch a stall free to rent where you can sell old valuables?

The recommendation is to be there as early as possible, from 5 or 6 o'clock in the morning.

Alternatively you can talk directly with the manager of the flea market and with money you can solve anything in the Valea Cascadelor flea market.

Let's say you want to rent a stall for a month and you want to know how much is paid for a meal, stall or a place there and how to proceed?

If you were at the entrance and you asked and you were told that there was no place, although there was a visible place in the flea market, you might also think that it goes with direct negotiation, that it is anyway full of people of all kinds and you have someone to bargain with.

For just 160 Lei per month, contract, Saturday as a rule there are several clients. Free stalls are hard to find, but if you go from 4 am you can book a place for selling.

Is there a phone number where you can call to book a place for the Sunday flea market? It works on the principle of "first come first served and 3 years ago the phone number 0238 566.236 was valid.

I've heard that you are no longer allowed to sell only at the table? Or are you allowed to put the merchandise on the ground? How can you rent a stall or a place of about 4 sqm. over a period of 3 months? How much does it cost to have a place in the flea market if you wanted to take a seat every week? It is best to go there, and you can ask exactly where you pay at the entrance about renting a space, The staff at the flea market Valea Cascadelor will gladly help.

Parking at the Valea Cascadelor flea market

Before, half of the flea market was car park. If you're wondering if one can drive into the flea market, the answer is: YES. A few years ago I remember that you could park inside the flea market, so it can be if you come earlier, at the first hour, to catch a free parking space.

You don't really have anywhere to park on the streets near the flea market on the street. Valea Cascadelor or on Timișoara Bld., not that there would be no place, the streets being quite wide, but precisely because there are large streets with heavy traffic and a busier intersection near the fair, stopping and parking are not allowed.

There are parking lots arranged very close but they belong to the DEDEMAN store and other outlets of tiles, furniture and other building materials and arrangements located near the Valea Cascadelor flea market, where parking is probably allowed only for their customers.
